1. The importance of trust in life and in the story
I believe that this story is relevant to every body’s life or will be some time or another. I believe that everyone should read this because it is important to know how some places react to cheating and how serious many people take it. I believe that honesty is very important in life because if you are not honest to others than they will not trust you and if you don’t think that is important you probably have something wrong with your morals. If you are not trusted than you wont get very far because you will probably end up not trusting others and then you be able to rely on them to help you when you really need it and you will end up alone with no one to help. Trust was important in this story because in the book P.S. lied when he cheated on the Latin exam by taking out a sheet of notes and copying them onto his test. Lying also takes its tole on a person’s conscience/ sole. It steadily eats away your self-confidence until you can’t bear it anymore and have to let it out so it is a lot better for yourself and others if you don’t lye in the first place and take the much more just and reasonable action of doing what you think is good and take the easy way out and think that it will just slip away and be forgotten. Although you may not be able to change what you or others have done but can try to learn from them and not make the same mistakes again.
2. Likes and dislikes of the story
I really liked this story because I think that this is a story that everyone can relate to and with some thought come up with an instance that they have actually been a part of. This story was also very well written and it made me stick to it and read it without stopping or taking breaks, I also liked the fact that story was rather easy to read from my perspective. I liked these things because the simpler the better and if it is intriguing the reader will tend to read more and not be distracted as easily, take less time, and if you like something the chances are that will remember it a lot better than if u hated the story. The things that I didn’t like are that I felt that this story was way to emotional but was not boring and that I didn’t think they need the first bunch of pages when they were brushing their teeth and just talking. I disliked these things because I don’t like very emotional stories and I defiantly don’t like reading extra material that I don’t really need to know because it is a waist of time and it just gets you confused by giving you more than you need.

Carsten, this is a strong entry. I appreciate you staying away from plot summary. Why do you think the author spend the first several pages of the short story writing about PS brushing his teeth and interacting with his friends? He did it for a reason, and although you thought it was boring, I'm curious if you know why the author did this?
